TurboCut for Windows
TurboCut was specifically designed for the metal cutting industry. In
addition to torch on and off commands, TurboCut supports punch and powder marking codes
easily.
Using your CAD program, TurboCut allows you to draw your part in any order. You add
lead-ins and lead-outs anywhere you want. TurboCut calculates the correct cutting path
based on your designation of the start point. You can easily save standard parts to disk
and retrieve them for manual nesting. Manually nesting many parts onto a sheet is as
simple as retrieving the parts you want, rotating them if necessary, and moving or
dragging them into place. Then define the start points for each shape. All drawing work
and nesting is done in your CAD program. TurboCut reads DXF files or DesignCADs .DC2
format. Optionally DesignCAD can be supplied with TurboCut.
Stack up a list of files to convert and let them process. Converts all
files without stopping, builds a list of errors if any exist, then BCI Draw displays the
results one at a time for your review. Using BCI Draw, you can view the cut path one step
at a time if you wish. You can stop at any point, press a button and you will be placed
into the CNC editor right at the line of code where you stopped. This allows manual
editing of your CNC code, although it is rarely necessary. You can also print the CNC code
from the editor.

The enhanced BCI Draw module makes estimating cut time a snap.
TurboCut has download capability to your CNC control. This means the program you create
can be sent from your PC to control via an RS-232 cable. Upload is also supported.
Template taught parts and standard shape parts can be sent from the CNC control to the PC
and TurboCut can translate this into CAD. This means if you already have a tracer system,
you can trace your existing parts, upload them to the computer, and edit them with the
CAD. Your transition becomes much easier.
Optional TurboCut 4 Port Link gives you the abiltiy to connect from 1 to 4 serial ports
on a PC. One of the ports might be the PC used for programming and the other three to
cutting machines. This allows you to produce files, then transmit then electronically to
the download computer. If you have a network, all 4 ports could be for cutting machines.
Each port can be configured for a different type of controller, or all might be the same.
When a control requests a download, if the PC is not busy, the file is sent to the
controller. If a download should already be in progress, a short wait for it to finish is
all that is required.
Runs on Windows 3.1. Windows 95, and Windows NT. Compatible with AutoCad through
version 14, AutoCad Light, and all versions of DesignCAD through DesignCAD
3000.
